KookyBox didn't start in a boardroom with a fleet of shiny new machines. It started with our family, one older vending machine, and an idea we couldn't stop talking about.

We wanted to build something of our own, but we also wanted it to feel like us. We're big on family, community, creativity, and bringing people together. When we started looking at vending, we kept coming back to the same thought: why does it all have to feel so boring?

Our first KookyBox has been a hands-on project from the beginning. We've cleaned it, repaired it, sanded it down, painted it, upgraded it with modern payment options, and learned plenty of lessons along the way. Instead of hiding that beginning, we're proud of it. Machine #001 is where the whole KookyBox story started.

We're starting here in the Altoona area because this is our community. Our goal isn't just to put machines in buildings. We want to build relationships with local businesses, learn what the people at each location actually want, and create machines that feel like they belong there.

We're still at the beginning of this story, and that's probably our favorite part. Every new location, every ridiculous idea, and every future KookyBox gets to become another piece of it.
